Janet Conner is an enthusiastic teacher who loves to work with experienced hookers throughout America, England, Bermuda, and Canada- potentially anywhere English is spoken.  Her classes always center around Art History, and most popular is Impressionism, Post Impressionism, and Art Nouveau.

Her two Art History books:  Magnificent Hooked Rugs In spired by the Art of Western Civilization, (RHM 2020) and Masterpiece Hooked Rugs, Inspired by the art of World Cultures, (JTC 2023) have chapter topics which are easily developed into class curricula.  Hookers learn history, social context, and elements of Art and Design as they work to create a rug in the esthetic of a specific period or place in history.

Central and South American art would include Molas, MultiColores Guatemalan, Maya, Aztec ad Inca images in carvings, architecture, painting, weavings, and embroideries.  Medieval Art could include maps, castles, knights and ladies, heraldry, Celtic knot designs, illuminated manuscript letters, and tapestries.

Bookings are planned a year in advance, references are available on request, simply email Janet at   jconnerhookedrugs@gmail.com.
